RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Prepare patients for outpatient surgical procedures.

·         Review of patient charts for accuracy and signatures post procedure.

·         Take record of vital signs and height and weight

·         Assist clinical staff with examination procedures.

·         Administer medications under the providers' orders, except I.V. medications.

·         Update patient charts in regards to allergies, medication use, and data for surgical procedures.

·         Administer medication orders from provider.

·         IV experience

·         Great bedside manner

·         Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.

·         Order medical supplies, narcotics, and medication. Stock each exam room with supplies.

·         Continually assess for areas of improvement and develop plans and evaluation criteria for such.

·         Answer patient’s questions after consultation with the provider or as per established procedures in that regard (i.e. health questions, medication refills, lab results, etc.)

·         Assist in health education classes when necessary

·         Prepare reports to fulfill State and Federal requirements

·         Participate in Quality Improvement as required

·         Other duties as required or assigned by the clinical staff from time to time or when it is necessary

·         Ability to relate to the public regardless of ethnic, religious and economic status

ALL STAFF REQUIREMENTS:   

·         Assist in protecting the center’s hardware, software, information, and data by complying with its security/privacy policies and procedures and correctly using security technologies

·         Attend required security/privacy training

·         Use computer terminals and workstations in a manner that protects the security of information they access  Report all security/privacy breaches to medical director

·         Maintain the confidentiality of patient information and any passwords to company information

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Current State LVN license

·         Experience in a medical setting with IV administration; OR experience preferred
